This page explains how Tweaking Cat Studios (“TCS,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with our website at tweakingcatstudios.com (the “Site”). It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at info@tweakingcatstudios.com and we’ll explain.
The short version
The Site is a brochure. We don’t require an account, we don’t sell anything here, and we don’t set our own cookies or run our own analytics. If you email us, we keep the email. If you click out to Discord or Instagram, those services have their own privacy policies and aren’t covered here.
What we collect
Information you send us
If you contact us - by email, through our Discord server, or via Instagram - we receive the information you choose to share with us (your email address, message contents, social handle, and similar). We keep that information for as long as it’s useful to respond and follow up, and we delete it on request.
Server logs
The Site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records standard server logs when you visit, including your IP address, browser, referring page, and the resources you requested. We don’t have direct access to those logs beyond what GitHub provides; their use is governed by GitHub’s privacy statement.
Fonts
The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, Google may receive your IP address and basic request metadata. See Google’s privacy policy for details. We do not transmit any other information to Google.
Cookies and analytics
We don’t set cookies on this Site, and we don’t run analytics. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and call it out clearly.
How we use information
We use the information you send us to reply to you, to coordinate with people who reach out about a job, and to keep the studio running. We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information. We don’t use it for advertising.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the small set of service providers that help us run the Site and our email - currently our website host (GitHub) and our email provider - and only as needed for them to provide that service. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@tweakingcatstudios.com and we’ll handle it promptly. Depending on where you live, you may also have additional rights under local law (for example, the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California); those rights apply, and you can exercise them by contacting us.
Security
We try to use reasonable practices to protect the information we have, but no system is perfectly secure. We can’t guarantee that information transmitted over the internet won’t be intercepted.
Changes
When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of the page. If the change is material, we’ll do our best to flag it on the Site so you have a chance to read it.
